Managers at all levels require a common set of skills associated with their management and leadership role.  Presuming that well qualified or professional staff will be able to take on a management role on promotion does not necessarily enable them to become effective. Undertaking management development training, geared to address the needs of an organisation is far more likely to enjoy a positive impact. 

UGCS offers a wide range of management development courses that will address this need for you.  If you are a private or a third sector organisation, you may be eligible for funding through the Welsh Government ESF initiative for Enhancing Leadership and Management Skills (ELMS). Our Health & Safety courses portfolio is accessible through this funding.
