This four day course covers the following topics:

• Introducing Managing Safely
• Assessing risks
• Controlling risks
• Understanding your responbilities
• Identifying hazards
• Investigating accidents and incidents
• Measuring performance
• Protecting our environment

Delegates will sit a one hour closed book assessment on day four of the course. Delegates must also complete a risk assessment project. Project instructions will be given during the course and should be taken away for completion. Delegates must complete and return the project within two weeks of the last day of the course. The project must be handwritten.

Managing Safely is for managers and supervisors in any sector, and any organisation.

Course Objectives

Upon attendance, the course will provide delegates with the knowledge and tools to tackle the health and safety issues for which they are responsible. Most importantly the course demonstrates just why health and safety is such an essential part of the job role.
