Alan Scott DMS, DipM, UGCS PRINCE2 and MSP Lead Trainer
Alan is an enthusiastic professional Programme and Project Management Consultant and Trainer. Previously, as a Programme and Project Manager, he has led teams of project managers, specialists, operational people, support staff and suppliers (both internal and external) that have delivered projects and programmes on all scales. For over fifteen years Alan delivered consistently successful projects and programmes using the PRINCE2 method to 'blue chip' companies. Examples of the types of projects that Alan has managed include, major uk-wide deployments of application software, hardware and networks; complex multi-party, multi-site, multi-technology systems integration. Since specialising in Project and Programme Management training and consultancy Alan has provided services to many diverse public sector and private sector organisations including West Yorkshire Police, MoD, US DoD, NHS, Local and Regional Government agencies, Phillips and Siemens.
John Connolly BSc MSc
John has over 30 years experience in project management, training and presenting and has been an accredited PRINCE2 trainer since 1990.
John was a deputy project manager during implementation of a major joint UK/NATO Command and Control Systems with specific responsibility for technical issues and procurement. Additionally, John worked for some years in multi-national environments on the European mainland, where, amongst other commitments, he was responsible for the implementation of secure data communications within an international military network, and also became an authority within NATO on all aspects of computer security.
Guy Douglas BSc (Hons) MSc CEng MIEE
Guy has 30 years experience working in the electronics industry. As a Project Manager, he has led the definition, development and introduction to manufacturing phases of several high technology test equipment products. Guy is a highly focused professional with a long and successful track record of managing budgets of several million pounds. Over the last ten years he has specialised in leading process improvement and change projects which require Guy to train those involved in or affected by the new processes up to and including middle and senior management.
Nigel Jones MSc
Nigel has had extensive experience in managing the development, introduction and implementation of new technology. He has been involved in projects for the Royal Navy, civil and military aircraft manufacturers and in support of the MOD as well as in a wide range of private sector companies. Nigel is a highly committed team member dedicated to the training, coaching and development of staff at all levels and is very confident in training and presenting to operators and board members alike.
Polly Murphy
Polly has been delivering AMPG approved courses in PRINCE2 Project Management and Managing Successful Programmes (MSP) methodologies for over two years and has received excellent pass rates. Polly has extensive experience in leading major projects at Britannia Airways Ltd and British Airways World Cargo. She is confident in dealing with people at all levels of organisation from shop-floor to board room, and is a good team player as well as having excellent project and programme management skills. This has stood her in good stead in her training role, where she is able to draw on her wide experience to help to make the training relevant to delegates.
Valerie Leyland
Valerie has 20 years’ UK and International experience in Information Technology and Business Management as a Business Systems and Software Development Manager, Programme Manager, IT Director and Consultant. In the private sector Valerie’s knowledge has been applied within the retail, distribution and logistics sectors, with emphasis on the supply chain and e-trading. In the public sector her background enabled her to lead the development of the first Information and Communications Technology Strategy for the region of the West Midlands and the development and launch of the West Midland’s Broadband Programme. Valerie is a PRINCE2 and MSP Practitioner and a PRINCE2 and MSP accredited Trainer.
